30 shot course set to UKAHFT kill zones and ranges WITH winter league rules thrown in. i.e, you may have to come off the peg to get a clear shoot, whilst STILL touching it with some part of your body. On other words, the target/kill zone may not necessarily be clear from the peg, UKAHFT style.
You shoot in a team of three shooters, made up of any variety i.e. Three PCP shooters, two ladies and a vet, three juniors, one PCP and two springers, the possibilities are endless! AND most importantly..... Don’t forget to give your team a name. There have been some cracking names in the past…
Handicaps will be awarded as follows to the overall team scores up to a maximum of 60 per team member:
Junior +5
.177 spring + 5
Sticks +8
.22 + 10
For the crazy open sight shooters +15
One Change for this year.........After much discussion it was decide that no handicaps will be awarded to the Lady and Vet shooters. The reason being....... The ladies and the old timers are giving the open class shooters a run for their money. Enough said really......
In addition to the 30 shot course, there will be THREEcrazy red targets. If you KILL all three your name will go into a draw for a prize. The clues in the name as to what these targets could be!
And to ADD to the FUN, to test your skills there will be the Golden Sombrero!!! £1 to enter. The Sombrero will be set out at a silly range with an equally silly kill size. IF you kill the Golden Sombrero, you will win the cash pot. If no one kills the Sombrero, then the money in the pot will be drawn as a Bonus Bunny.
So, prizes as follows:
Best Team Name Individual trophies for each shooter in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed teams. Crazy Red Draw Golden Sombrero Cash Pot. Food, naturally a chilli, tea, coffee and plenty of fun to be had. There is simply no other fun and competitive shoot like this one.
Save the date in your diaries and get your teams together. If you don’t have a team on the day, don’t worry, as there will be other amigos looking for an amigo or dos…..

Our Club
Wendover Air Rifle Club has been established for over 20 years, and welcomes people of 14 years of age or above . WARC can cater for most air rifle disciplines, most of our members tend to shoot either Hunter Field target (HFT) or Field Target (FT); but others just come to enjoy plinking.
If you join our club then we offer a range of opportunities to get involved with air rifle shooting. Members enjoy shooting in the range, shooting a course of targets it the woods or competing locally, nationally and internationally. There is plenty to get involved in and we run work parties every couple of months which is a fun and social way to keep our club and grounds in tip top condition.
We also enjoy a good social occasion from BBQs up at our woods to a good curry and a few beers in Wendover.
